Hey guys, welcome to Bremmar’s video series on the Office 365 apps. I’ll be running through OneDrive for Business today, where you can store, share, sync and update your work files from any device.
Let’s have a look how it works.
Accessing Office 365 home screen
I’ll first access OneDrive on my desktop through the Office 365 home page. You can see I’ve got some documents in my files list. I can add files by either clicking on UPLOAD or simply drag files from my desktop into the web browser – by default these files will be private to me.
When I’m ready, I can choose who I’d like to share these with, by selecting the file and clicking SHARE at the top.
All of my files can be viewed and edited directly from the web browser. You can also open the documents in desktop versions of Office if you have them installed. These documents can be worked on simultaneously with other members they’re shared with, from any device. Once we each save, all our work will merge, and any conflicts will be identified.

Through the OneDrive mobile app, I can view all my files and edit as required as long as I have the office apps installed.

Back on my web browser, I can see recent files, files that are shared with me, discover other files within my organisation that have been worked on by other members, and a recycle bin of recently deleted items.
I can also view the teams I am a part of and any relevant documents relating to those projects.
Lastly, you can install the OneDrive desktop app which allows you to sync your OneDrive files to a local folder on your computer, which you can then edit and change while offline, and will automatically sync the changes up to your OneDrive account once you connect.
There you have it, no more sharing of physical USB drives and multiple copies of documents floating around the office, you now have a central location to store your data safely online, providing you with the flexibility to collaborate with your workmates.
